Position 1 – Senior Accountant – M-Pesa Finance

Detailed Description:

Reporting to the Manager – M-Pesa Finance, the role holder will be responsible to Ensure accuracy and completeness of E-Value creation & Withdrawals processing, Trust account reconciliation, 3rd party reconciliation and settlement, agents and partner management, and support in line with the laid down STEP policies & SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure timely float application as per the agreed SLAs.
Ensure timely Trust Account Reconciliations and submission of the reconciliation for review by 09:00 am of the subsequent working day.
Ensure timely Snap-shot submission in the M-Pesa system before the new day’s file are uploaded.
Ensure accurate & timely withdrawal batch processing & EOD Reconciliation on daily basis.
Respond to customer issues within set SLA’s and in a conclusive manner ensuring customer satisfaction.
Track escalations to the team & resolutions given to enable the team picks up insights on areas of improvement.
Undertake daily recons & monitoring of internal tills to ensure they are sufficiently funded.
Ensure daily recons on airtime sales with any variance being resolved with 24 hours and subsequent withdrawal of the reconciled amounts to the correct bank account.
Ensure accurate and timely reconciliations of the IMT transactions with any variance being resolved with 1 day.
Perform any other duty as assigned

Job Requirements:

Business/IT-related bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least CGPA of 3.5 and above.

Qualified Accountant with CPA (K)/ACCA/CIMA/ACA.

3 – 4 years post-qualification experience in financial services with a specialization area of mobile money.

A strategic thinker, shaping processes, people, and systems.

Position 2 –  Documentation Coordinator

Detailed Description

Reporting to the Colocation Manager, the position holder will be Responsible for overall project documentation progress to be always up to date and complete as per defined and agreed standards and lead-times.

Job Responsibilities

Working documentation uploading to online/cloud systems.
Maintain and operate filing systems manually and via tool
Make sure documents are correct and accurate, and keep documents organized and up to date
Supervising data entry personnel in maintaining up to date records
Copy, scan, send and store documents.
Check and coordinate Internally and externally for accuracy and editing files
Review and update technical documents (e.g., Lease Agreements, Acceptance folders, manuals, and workflows)
Distribute project-related copies to internal and external teams.
Participate in development of project site folders (TI, CW, PW, SA, NWP).
Take active part in acceptance process development with all parties involved to ensure all necessary project documents are taken into account and will be provided accordingly.
Prepare document submission plan with responsible parties.
Monitor document submission plan fulfilment as well as implement any changes required to the plan and/or implementation process.
Support project team by providing necessary guidance related with documents required and submitted.
Ensure documentation required to support site process is uploaded into the tool
Ensure that uploaded documentation and related MS are timely verified/updated in the tool by responsible parties
Ensure and monitor daily that all documentation submission data (incl. forecasted dates and actual dates) is correct in the Tool.
Analyse documentation submission gap and take required corrective actions

Job Requirements

College or university School Degree (Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Business management or similar)
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical information and clearly document it with a level of detail appropriate for the audience.
Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills, highly methodical working habits, and exquisite attention to detail.
2-3 years in
Project Management Support functions
Reporting and technical documentation handling experience
Subcontractor and/or vendor management
International exposure is preferred
Computer/IT/MsOffice/Tool knowledge
Planning and reporting
Able to deal with different cultures and customs
Fluent English Language
