Nunhems Ethiopia PLC is now recruiting a young, qualified candidate whom enthusiastic, result oriented, willing to learn and develop and start personal career as Trainee Finance Project Assistant.

Reports to Finance Manager and closely engaged with other finance staff, the candidate requires a bachelor’s degree in area of finance and 0-1 years of experience in the field. Candidate should be familiar with standard finance and accounting concepts, principles and knowledge of finance sector. Candidate shall demonstrate good work ethics and work values and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, perform a variety of financial assistant tasks. Learn and work under general supervision.

The project assignment will be temporary in nature and not be a permanent position. The trainee position will allow practical exposure in the below areas:

  • Compile and handle documents for payment preparations and document payment collections
  • Prepare payment transfer orders and maintain clean document filing
  • Investigate and reconcile historical data for payments and collections
  • Resolve settlements and collections with vendors and customers and provide relevant information
  • Keep reports and reconcile transactions and report bank ending balance.
  • Process returns and trace payment history.
  • Assist Accountant on monthly Tax Reporting data coding.

Your place of work:

You will be based at the BASF Vegetable Seeds office at Lebu, Addis Ababa. Occasionally you will be required to travel to the BASF Vegetable Seeds production farm at Arerti

Your qualities:

  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic to learn and adopt practical financial knowledge.
  • Holding at least a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance, with 0-1 year of relevant experience.
  • Having 1 year work experience in considered a plus.
  • Be well familiar with Microsoft Office products (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Excellent written and spoken skill of English and Amharic language.
  • Possessing excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Strong interest to learn, adapt and cope with any assignment
