World Vision International (ወርልድ ቪዥን ዓለም አቀፍ) wants to recruit employees in the following vacant positions the details of which are mentioned below.


Position 1 – WASH Technical Program Coordinator

  • Duty Station: Arbaminch
  • Required Professional Experience: At least 6 yrs for M.Sc and 8 yrs for B.Sc with minimum of 2 years on WASH programs management experience in an international NGO or similar organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge on different water schemes study and design is preferable.
  • Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications: Basic computer knowledge (word, Excel) and advanced knowledge of current up-to-date design software such as AUTOCAD, WATER CAD.
  • Special training on design, Construction Supervision and Contract Administration.
  • Effective in written and verbal communication in English.
  • Experience on WBC, CLTSH, MHH, CASH, WASH Governance.

Position 2 – Education and Life skills technical program Coordinator

  • Location: Eastern Amhara, Ethiopia
  • Knowledge and Qualification:
  • MA degree or equivalent in the fields of Education, Educational Planning, pedagogy, social work, international development, child development, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experiance.
  • Excellent knowledge and skills on education & Life skills programing.
  • Significant bi-lateral donor grant experience with program implementation, funding acquisition, and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and strong interpersonal skills are needed
  • Must be able to negotiate ideas within and outside the World Vision partnership, particularly with donor communities and government.
  • Good knowledge of oral and written English language.


Position 3 – ILaNS Program Technical Coordinator

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Agricultural Economics, Nutrition, Rural Development, NRM, relevant field and NGOs experience is preferred, coordinator or senior expert level.
  • Excellent knowledge and skills on Livelihood interventions Significant bi-lateral donor grant experience with program implementation, funding acquisition, and reporting.
  • Must be a creative individual with strong sense of priorities and organizational skills and an ability to work with diverse teams across considerable distances.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and strong interpersonal skills are needed Must be able to negotiate ideas within and outside the World Vision partnership, particularly with donor communities and government.
  • Excellent experience in proposal development, budget preparation and report writing; Good knowledge of oral and written English language.
  • Educational level and qualifications required: BSc/BA degree and MSc/MA degree in development studies, agricultural Economics and other related studies and working knowledge of BSL, FMNR, PD Hearth, S4T and LVCD Model.
  • Networking and external relationship ability to network and strength partnership with partners at Woreda, zonal and regional levels.

Position 4 – Supply Chain Coordinator

  • Required Professional Qualifications: BA/BSc in Procurement & Supplies Management , Business Management and other related fields
  • Required Professional Experience: 5 years’ experience in handling development & emergency response program procurements in an INGO or organization of similar size and reputation.
  • Ability and willingness to change work practices and hours in the event of major emergencies including travelling at short notice and for extended periods of time
  • Well organized for order and information management, able to keep filing systems updated to ensure an auditable trail.
  • Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management – CIPS, Knowledge of key institutional donors and their compliance requirements in respect of logistics and procurement developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing and negotiation.

Position 5 – Emergency Response Multi-Sector Program Manager


Employee Contract Type: Local – Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term)

  • BA/BSc Degree in Agriculture, agricultural economics, Economics, Development studies, WASH related or other related fields
  • Experience:  6-8 yrs/3 yrs in Management level
  • Program management skill, Participatory M&E, Results-Based management, Logical Framework Analysis, community participation, Participatory Rural Appraisal, Participatory Learning & Action
  • Experience in USAID/BHA funded projects is an advantage
  • NGO experience is preferred.

Position – 6 Economic Development Specialist(SG&MIS)

  • Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Required Professional Experience

  • >8 years of total experience on business and economic and rural development
  • Must have a clear understanding of major donors’ perspectives, requirements and standards
  • Must have proven analytical/ problem solving abilities
  • Must have a clear understanding of major donors’ perspectives, requirements and standards
  • Experiences in excel management
  • Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
  • Second Degree in Developmental Economics and related and or
  • Knowledge of Saving Group/VSLA/VESA, SG MIS/SAVIX, BSL, local Value chain, business facilitation models is a requirement
  • Professional technical skill associated with assessment experience is desired
  • Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – builds good relationships with internal and external stakeholders and maintain effective collaboration with all staff
  • Excellent skill in producing quality report
  • Appropriate skills and experience in the capacity building and training of staff and partners;
  • Rich experience in handling productive meeting
  • Rich experience communication
  • Excellent experience in proposal development, budget preparation and report writing;
  • Good knowledge of oral and written English language.
  • Computer literate
